Where to Find Voltfin Trout

Voltfin Trout are only found in one region: the Tabantha Frontier. They're relatively few in number given the size of the bodies of water in that area.

  • Tabantha Frontier

Specific Sightings:

  • There are a number of Voltfin Trout swimming around in Strock Lake in the Tabantha Frontier. You'll want to approach the lake from the west where there's a shore that you can swim out from. The fastest way to get there is to ride your horse up from the Tabantha Bridge Stables.

Tips for Catching Voltfin Trout

  • Voltfin Trout spook easily, and they move pretty fast. If you spook one too much, it'll swim to the bottom and resurface after a while.
  • If chasing fish around isn't your thing, try throwing Yellow Chuchu Jelly into the water. It electrifies the water in an area and kills the fish so you can scoop them all up at your leisure. It's not very sporting, but it works.
