Paraglider
The Paraglider is a Key Item that will assist you in exploring the vast open world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. With it, you can glide through the air, use the Skyview Towers, and apply Fabrics to it for a new look. The Paraglider can also assist in combat if you use your bow while gliding, giving you a few moments of slow motion to line up your shot.
Official Description: "This item, given to you by Purah, lets you ride the wind and glide through the sky. Press X in midair to activate it."
How to Get the Paraglider in TotK
To get the Paraglider for yourself, follow the main questline, which will bring you to Lookout Landing in Hyrule. From there, you can do a series of quests to get the Paraglider from Purah.
The paraglider was an early key item in Breath of the Wild, but in Tears of the Kingdom, you can play for hours without ever actually getting it. Which we would not recommend, given that it's still a vital item for aerial exploration. Here are the exact steps you need to take to get the Paraglider in TotK.
Complete the Great Sky Island and Visit Hyrule Castle
After you descend from The Great Sky Island down to Hyrule, one of your first main quests will be to head to Hyrule Castle. Now, you could just go anywhere right from when you touch ground, but follow the main quest for a bit.
It will take you to Hyrule Castle, and after that sequence of events, make sure you head back to Lookout Landing to talk with Purah. She will activate the first Skyview Tower, which essentially takes the place of the towers from Breath of the Wild and reveal regions on your map. But in order to do that, she’ll also give you the Paraglider.
You can also customize your paraglider by taking it to the Hateno Dye shop after finding some Paraglider materials.
Paraglider Fabrics
There are many different Paraglider Fabrics hidden around Hyrule. Some are found in chests, while others are earned in Side Quests, or collected by scanning certain Amiibos.
