Where to Find Stambulbs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Stambulbs can be found sparsely across many regions of Hyrule, often near or atop large grey slabs of Sky Island stone that now rest on the surface. To find a more abundant supply of Stambulbs, a good bet is to head to the Great Sky Island or use Skyview Towers to make your way to the Sky Archipelagos that are floating among the clouds above Hyrule, where Stambulbs commonly grow in grass or dirt near the trunks of trees, around stone ruins, and occasionally inside caves.

Common Locations:

  • Great Sky Island
  • Thunderhead Isles

You can find many Stambulbs growing in the grass near ponds, tree trunks, and stone ruins around the northwestern side of the Great Sky Island. To reach these Stambulb locations, marked by yellow leaf icons on the map above, head south or southwest from the Ukouh Shrine. However, due to the significant gaps and differing elevations of these floating islands, it will be beneficial to have unlocked the Sensor+ on your Purah Pad so you can track the Stambulbs to their exact locations.

You can find eighteen Stambulbs resting in the dirt near stone ruins and tree trunks in the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago. It can be tricky, but you can reach the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago by launching yourself from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower and paragliding southwest to these floating islands. If you have yet to unlock the Jinodok Shrine fast travel point, it may be worth stopping there to make return visits for Stambulbs quicker.

Tips for Finding Stambulbs

  • Unlock as many Skyview Towers as you can gather Stambulbs from the Sky Archipelagos found across the skies of Hyrule.
  • Unlock the Camera and Sensor+ upgrades for your Purah Pad so you can snap a photo of a Stambulb to add them to your Hyrule Compendium. Once you've done that, you can target Stambulbs with the Purah Pad sensor, which will ping you as you close in on their locations.

Stambulb Uses

Stambulbs are a vital material for cooking vegetable-related food recipes that reinvigorates your stamina wheel when consumed, allowing you to paraglide further or perform more stamina-draining actions. You can also use Stambulbs to cook two new TotK recipes, such as the Cooked Stambulb and Fragrant Seafood Stew, which have varying health recovery and effects based on the ingredients used.

To increase the amount of stamina you can recover from each dish, add more Stambulbs to the recipe. Cooking five of these invigorating bulbs together will make a dish that restores five hearts and more than a wheel of stamina. You can also use Stambulbs as an ingredient to dye your armor light yellow at the Kochi Dye Shop.
