Kaneli’s Flight Training

Kaneli’s Flight Training is one of the many Side Quests to complete in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In this guide, we will teach you everything you need to know to complete Kaneli’s Flight Training, including where to find it and what you will get as a reward.

  • Side Quest Location: Hebra Mountains, near Dronoc’s Pass
  • Prerequisites: Finish the Rito Village portion of Regional Phenomena
  • Rewards: 50 Rupees, flight training time trials.

You can find Kaneli, the old leader of Rito Village, at the top of a tower in the ruins of Dronoc’s Pass. Speak with him to begin the Side Quest, where he will test you to see if you can fly through 15 rings in 30 seconds.

This is great Paraglider training, as the upward draft from the ruins below can keep you airborne the entire time. You can fly through rings flying upwards or falling downward, so it’s best to open and close the Paraglider periodically. You can use the Paraglider to go up through rings, then fall down through the next rings, then use the Paraglider to fly up through the next ones.

There are 20 rings, but you only need to fly through 15. Should you complete the trial, you’ll get 50 Rupees for your trouble and completion of the quest. You’ll also unlock additional flight tests should you wish to return.

While the other flight tests aren't part of any quest, they can reward a good amount of Rupees your first time through, which should be easy with the Glide Armor set:
