Battle Talus
The Battle Talus is a mini-boss enemy in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. A spin on the original Stone Talus from Breath of the Wild, this large stone elemental not only uses its giant boulder limbs to crush nearby foes, it has a small Bokoblin fortress built on its back. To contend with this monstrosity, you'll need to take out the Bokoblin archers on top of it as well.

Combat Strategies
Much like the standard Stone Talus, the key to defeating the Battle Talus is to get onto its back and strike the Ore Deposit there until you have depleted its health. This will prove tricky with a Battle Talus due to the miniature fortress atop it's head, complete with Bokoblin archers.
The trick here is to use Ascend to move through the bottom-side of the wooden fortress platforms and emerge on top. The Battle Talus has wooden spikes all along the bottom of its platforms, making it nearly impossible to climb its body.
You can also hit the Ore Deposit on the Battle Talus's head with your bow and arrow to deal a Critical Hit. Dealing a Critical Hit to a Stone Talus will temporarily "stun" it, knocking it to the ground where it will remain inert for a couple seconds. This will make it much easier to Ascend onto it's platforms.

In addition to the same common rewards dropped by regular Stone Talus, the Battle Talujs also has a chance of dropping weakened weapons. Not to mention, you will also find some common Bokoblin drops since you will need to defeat these monsters as well to take the Battle Talus down.
Battle Talus Locations
There are 17 Battle Talus mini-bosses that can be found on the Surface in Tears of the Kingdom. Five can be found in Hyrule Field, three in West Necluda, one in Hyrule Ridge, two in Tabantha Frontier, one in Akkala Highlands, one in Deep Akkala, one in East Necluda, and one in Gerudo Highlands. There are also six Battle Talus located in The Depths beneath Hyrule.
